topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 350 gr. ground beef
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • A pinch of ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup raisins, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green olives, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup almond needles, coarsely chopped
  • 8 slider buns
  • Pickled jalapeño peppers, for serving

Preparation:

  1. Grate 1 clove of garlic and add to the mayonnaise (see another recipe garlic mayonnaise).

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft, about 10 minutes. Chop the remaining 2 garlic cloves and add to the onion. Cook for another 2 minutes. Then let the mixture cool slightly.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine ground beef, 1 teaspoon salt, tomato sauce, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Add the raisins, olives, and almonds, then the sautéed onion and garlic. Mix everything carefully.
  3. Wipe out the skillet and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and form into round patties. Fry for 4 minutes on each side until medium-rare.
  4. Serve the cutlets on buns with a spoonful of garlic mayonnaise and pickled peppers.
