Grilled burger

Ingredients:

  • 1.4 kg ground beef (neck and shoulder part)
  • 2 teaspoons coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp (45 g) salted butter
  • 1.5 tbsp. l. chopped parsley
  • 6 English muffins, cut in half
  • 1 large bull's heart tomato, cut into 6 wedges

Preparation:

  1. Prepare a charcoal grill and set the grate 4 inches above medium-high heat, or heat a gas grill to medium-high. Lightly brush with vegetable oil.
  2. Form the ground beef into 6 patties, approximately 9 cm in diameter, and season both sides with salt and pepper. Fry on both sides until almost done (3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare).

    If using a gas grill, the total cooking time may increase by 1-2 minutes. Transfer the patties to a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes. Brush each with about 1/2 tablespoon (30 g) of butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  3. Meanwhile, grill for 2-3 minutes. English muffinsHeat the patties on the grill for about 1 minute.

    Serve them on toasted bun halves, topped with tomato slices, then top with the other halves.
