American Peach Cobbler Pie

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups peeled and sliced ​​peaches
  • 1 cup of sugar (portions)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1.5 tbsp. self-raising flour (flour mixed with baking powder and salt)
  • 1.5 cups of milk
  • Ground cinnamon, optional
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving

Preparation:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the peaches, 1 cup of sugar, and water and stir well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Place the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in the oven to melt.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C. Combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar, flour, and slowly whisk in the milk, being careful not to form lumps. Pour the batter over the melted butter. Do not stir.

    Place the fruit on the surface, carefully pouring the syrup over it. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired. The dough will rise to the edges during baking. Bake for 30-45 minutes.

    To serve, transfer to a bowl and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream of your choice.
