Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups of sugar
- 1.5 cups of water
- 3 kiwis, peeled and coarsely chopped
- Juice of 2 limes
- 8 cups of ice
Preparation:
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook until the sugar dissolves and the liquid has evaporated slightly, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Pour into a blender, add kiwi, and blend until smooth. Pour into a pitcher and stir in the lime juice. Refrigerate.
- Crush the ice in a food processor and divide it among 4 glasses. Pour the kiwi mixture over the ice and serve immediately. Fruit ice can be prepared from any fruits, berries or juices.
