Spicy Almonds

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole unsalted almonds
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce

Preparation:

  1. Toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Transfer the almonds to a bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the cumin, garlic, cayenne pepper, and salt. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Stir in the spices and cook, stirring, for about 30 seconds. Add the almonds and cook, stirring frequently, until heated through and evenly coated. Add the hot sauce and stir to coat. Remove the almonds from the pan, let cool, and serve.
