Ingredients:
- 450 g dried white beans, sorted
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 0.5 cups ketchup
- 1/4 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1.5 tbsp molasses
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 pork leg on the bone weighing 2-3 kg.
Preparation:
- In a 6-quart slow cooker, combine the beans, 3 cups water, onion, ketchup, maple syrup, brown sugar, mustard, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Top with the ham, cover, and cook on high for 8 hours.
- Transfer the meat to a platter and skim off any excess fat from the beans. Slice the meat and serve with the beans.
