Ingredients:
- 1 small orange, cut into pieces
- 1 lime, cut into pieces
- 1 lemon, cut into pieces
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 bottle of cachaça (cane brandy)
- Ice
- Mint and lime wedges for garnish
- Sugarcane stalks, for serving, optional
Preparation:
- Place citrus slices and sugar in the bottom of a decanter. Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, mash the fruit to release juice. Once enough juice has been extracted that the sugar has begun to dissolve, pour the cachaça into the decanter and stir.
- Fill short glasses with ice and the cocktail. Do not add crushed fruit pieces. Garnish with mint and lime. Add a cane stem, if desired.
