Kale Margarita

Ingredients:

    Margarita cocktail

  • 60 ml. super green juice, see recipe below
  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • A wedge of lime to wet the rim of the glass, plus a lime wheel for garnish
  • Coarse salt, for garnishing the rim of the glass

    Super Green Juice

  • 1–2 large juicy lemons, peeled
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple, peeled and cored
  • 2 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 large cucumber
  • 1 cup greens, such as spinach or kale

Preparation:

  1. Wet the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then wrap it at an angle, dipping it in salt so that it only coats the outside of the glass.
  2. Combine super green juice, tequila, and orange liqueur in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain into a prepared glass filled with ice.
  3. Garnish with a lime wheel.

    Super Green Vegetable Juice

    Following your juicer's instructions, juice the ingredients in the following order: lemons, apple, romaine lettuce, cucumber, and kale. Serve immediately, adding ice if desired.
