Grilled Mahi Mahi in a Spicy Jerk Marinade topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
For the Jerk Marinade:
- 1 chopped jalapeño pepper
- 1 coarsely chopped red onion
- 1.5 tsp dried thyme
- 2 green onion stalks, chopped (green tops)
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 3 teaspoons of sea salt
Preparation:
- Prepare the marinade: Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse for 15 seconds. (This will make more marinade than you need. It can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 2 months.)
- Grill the fish: Season the fish with salt and brush each side with 2 teaspoons of the marinade. Place the fish on a hot grill or grill pan and reduce the heat to medium. After 2 minutes (the bottom will be browned), turn the fillets over and grill for 3-5 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
