Chocolate Mint Popcorn

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. white chocolate granules
  • 6 cups popcorn
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped red and white peppermint candies

Preparation:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup white chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon shortening and microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted, 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine 1 cup dark chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon shortening and melt in the same manner. Place 6 cups of popcorn on a baking sheet and drizzle with both chocolate mixtures. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup coarsely chopped red and white peppermint candies and a pinch of coarse salt. Let set for about 1 hour, then break into pieces.
