Wild Onion Ranch Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup chopped wild onion leaves (about 21 pcs.)
  • 1/3 cup of sour milk or kefir
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chopped dill
  • 2 tsp chopped green onions
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 2-3 drops of hot sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, wild onion, sour milk, mayonnaise, dill, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, hot sauce, half the lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of ground pepper. Mix thoroughly. Taste and add more lemon juice and salt if needed.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a tightly sealed container for up to 1 week.

    Wild onions (Canadian ramsons) are a broad-leaved plant native to some South American states. They are eaten raw, like green onions, or cooked, like leeks. Add them to dishes to enhance the garlicky flavor.
