topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

    Sweet fruit salsa

  • 2 sour green apples
  • 1 kiwi
  • 0.5 cups red seedless grapes
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 small orange
  • 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground Saigon cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons apple jelly

    Cinnamon chips

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ground Saigon cinnamon
  • 10 wheat tortillas, 20 cm in diameter.
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or margarine

Preparation:

  1. Salsa:

Finely chop the apples, kiwi, grapes, and strawberries and place in a medium bowl. Grate the orange zest and measure out 1 teaspoon. Juice the orange.
  2. Add the juice and grated zest to the chopped fruit. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple cider vinegar. Fold the dressing over the fruit, tossing gently. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Cinnamon chips:

Preheat oven to 200°C. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush one side of the tortillas with melted butter. Sprinkle the tortillas with the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  4. Cut each flatbread into 8 triangles (like a pizza) and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool. Serve with fruit salsa.
