Cherry slushies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cherries, halved, pits removed
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tbsp kirsch
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream
  • 6 tbsp. crushed ice
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine cherries, 2 tablespoons sugar and kirsch in a bowl and mash with a mixer or potato masher, reserving any berry pieces.
  2. Let it sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes to release the juices.
  3. Whip the cream with the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar until very soft peaks form.
  4. Add crushed ice to the cherries and stir thoroughly. Divide the mixture into 4 small glasses and top with a few dollops of whipped cream. Garnish with mint.
