Ingredients:
- 1 cup vanilla glaze for decorating glasses
- Peppermint extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips + extra for serving
- 1 and 1/4 cups milk
- 4 cups white chocolate or vanilla ice cream
- Red food coloring
- Whipped cream for serving
- 2 tablespoons crushed red and white candy canes or red and white sprinkles
- 3-6 candy canes
Preparation:
- Add a few drops of mint extract to the vanilla glaze and stir. Using a knife, spread the glaze over the rims of three glasses, then dip the rims of the glasses into a plate with white chocolate chips. Freeze the glasses while you prepare the milkshake.
- Combine the milk and ice cream in a blender and blend on high speed. Pour half of the milkshake into a pitcher and set aside. Add 2-4 drops of red food coloring and 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the remaining milkshake in the blender and blend.
- Starting with one color, pour a layer of milkshake into each prepared glass and freeze for 10 minutes. Add a layer of the next color and freeze for another 10 minutes. Continue layering until you have several stripes. Garnish the milkshakes with whipped cream, white chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, or sprinkles, and add 1-2 canes to each glass.
