Perfect guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion + extra for serving
  • 1-3 serrano peppers, chopped
  • 3/4 cup torn cilantro, plus extra for garnish
  • 3 ripe avocados, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium tomato, diced, plus extra for serving

Preparation:

  1. Place the onion, serrano, cilantro, and a large pinch of coarse salt on a cutting board. Chop, then mash with the flat side of a large knife until it forms a paste. Transfer to a medium bowl.
  2. Add the avocado and mash with a wooden spoon until it forms a chunky paste. Add the tomato and season with salt to taste. Garnish the guacamole with chopped tomatoes, cilantro, and onion.
