Turkey mac and cheese with cheese crust

Ingredients:

  • 450 g of ground turkey
  • 1 package of mac and cheese (400 g) in 4-cheese sauce
  • 1 can (110 g) canned pimento peppers
  • 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 cup tortilla chips
  • 1/4 cup grated Mexican cheddar

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Prepare mac and cheese according to package directions.
  2. Brown the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium-high heat; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the mac and cheese, ground turkey, pimento, and corn and transfer to a 3-quart baking dish. Top with tortilla chips and sprinkle with cheddar. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the casserole from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
