Pear and Lemon Martini topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 lemon, cut into half-moon slices
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 120 ml pear vodka
- 30 ml. dry vermouth
- 30 ml. pear nectar
- Pear slices and lemon zest twists, for garnish
Preparation:
- Combine lemon slices, sugar, and vanilla in a container; close the lid and shake vigorously until the lemon slices are coated with sugar. Set aside, shaking occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, about 30 minutes. Mash the lemon slices with a fork to release the juice.
- Let sit for 30 minutes, then refrigerate until ready to use.
- Fill 2 martini glasses with ice and set aside. Shake the lemons again, then strain the juice into a liquid measuring cup. Combine the vodka, vermouth, pear nectar, and 45 ml of lemon syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice and stir until completely chilled. Discard the ice from the martini glasses and strain the drink into chilled glasses. Garnish with pear slices and lemon twists.
