Ingredients:
- 0.5 cups of sugar
- 45 ml of gin
- 22 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 7 ml. maraschino syrup (from a jar of cherries)
- 60 ml sparkling wine
- Lemon wedge and maraschino cherry, for garnish
Preparation:
- Prepare sugar syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine sugar with 1/4 cup water and heat over medium heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves; let cool.
- Combine gin, lemon juice, cherry syrup and 7ml simple syrup in a shaker with ice; shake well.
- Strain into a coupe glass. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a maraschino cherry.
