Garlic croutons with herbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette
  • 110 g butter, room temperature
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed with a pinch of salt and extra virgin olive oil to a paste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil, for baking

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Combine butter, garlic paste, and herbs in a small bowl, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, brush the cut sides of both halves with herbed butter, and drizzle with a little olive oil. Bake for 15 minutes.
