Ingredients:
- 240 g Brie cheese, cut into 12 triangles
- 1.5 tbsp (75 g) butter
- 1/4 cup finely crushed whole-grain cookies or unsweetened graham crackers
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
- 3 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- 1 pinch of ground ginger
- 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1 beaten egg
- 12 slices of figs or other fruits (apple, pear, strawberry, apricot, etc.)
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 210°C.
- Melt the butter in a bowl in the microwave. Add the crushed cookies, nuts, brown sugar, and spices, and mix thoroughly.
- Dip the Brie cheese pieces in the beaten egg, then coat them in the breadcrumbs. Arrange the Brie cheese pieces on the fruit slices.
- Place the canapés on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake in the oven for 4 minutes, until the cheese has melted slightly and the breading is lightly golden and crispy. Serve the fruit canapés warm.
