Fruit salad in orange-vanilla syrup topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
Fruits
- 8 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
- 4 cups blueberries
- 2 cups white grapes, halved
- 2 cups red grapes, halved
- Fresh mint leaves
Orange-vanilla syrup
- 1 cup of sugar
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 1 vanilla bean
Preparation:
- Combine the sugar, 1 cup of water, orange zest and juice, and vanilla in a small saucepan. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes until the syrup thickens. Then let cool.
- Combine all the fruits in a large bowl, pour over the cooled syrup, and toss to combine. Garnish with mint leaves and refrigerate until ready to serve.
