Amazing oatmeal cookies topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 cups premium flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 0.5 tsp of soda
- 3 cups of oatmeal
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer (or using a hand mixer), beat the brown sugar and butter until fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to the butter mixture in 2-3 additions, mixing after each addition. Stir in the oats, distributing them evenly.
- Spoon the dough into mounds on a baking sheet, spacing them a few centimeters apart. Bake until golden brown, 12-13 minutes for soft cookies. If you prefer crispier cookies, bake a little longer!
- Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheets, then transfer to a plate and serve.
Note
Add 0.5 cups of finely chopped nuts to the dough if you like a nutty flavor and crunch.
